1300 meetings and Counting
The Marin Prostate Cancer Information and Support Group marks a quarter of a century of men helping men. For two and a half decades, men who have been treated for prostate cancer, have been sharing their experience and wisdom with newly diagnosed men. Weekly meetings at Marin General Hospital have insured that for 25 years. No man had to wait more than a week to receive support and information at one of the most challenging times in his life. The group will be celebrating more than one thousand men (and women) who have been supporting each other and sharing their firsthand knowledge for 25 years.
In addition to honoring the men and women who helped so many others, the group members showed their gratitude to the doctors and staff who helped them with their treatments. The group especially thanks the Marin General Hospital for hosting meetings for this group for all these years.
